Following is a useful resource you can add to your business promotion repertoire. This seems to be a little known local advertising opportunity that has big potential for businesses, especially those seeking nearby customers. Not only can businesses be found locally, but they are also rated here by customers as well. This is a wonderful resource for advertisers and consumers.

Google Places allows you to add the regular stuff like service locations and hours plus, up to 10 photos (well actually thumbnails) and even videos! Very comprehensive for a search engine listing.

Every little bit of search engine exposure does go a long way, especially when it is from Google. According to Wikipedia, Google receives several hundred million queries per day. That’s phenomenal!
